AWWWW.........FALL......IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

And I am so ready for it...I am a Fall kind of girl....Today I want to share with you a set of cards that I made just for myself to give to others of course...I used two new awesome sets from The Cutting Cafe....COLORED LEAVES SET and WELCOME FALL.....I am sure both will be a favorite of mine for a long time....I wanted these cards to be super quick and easy....SEE VIDEO BELOW....Here's a few things I did in making these cards.......basically I just printed out 4 different leave backgrounds...there are 6 different colored leaves in the set....I found some paper to match each of the colored background sheets and then just folded some Kraft card bases at about 4.5 by 4 inches...using the ENVELOPE templates I made some matching Kraft envelopes.I did also cut out a leaf out of each color and embossed it then pop them up on each card...adding a little ribbon....The sentiments come from the WELCOME FALL set...this set is fully of FALL/AUTUMN stuff.....I am going to set these on my desk and send out one card weekly....

THANKS FOR STICKING YOUR NECK OUT FOR ME................

When Melissa from the BBTB2 had issued this week challenge to use the FLAMINGO from the LIFE'S A BEACH cricut cartridge...I knew right away what sentiment I wanted to put on my card and I knew I wanted it to be a circular card with scallops....I tied the FLAMINGO with a new set of SCALLOP CIRCLE shape cards from THE CUTTING CAFE as well as I used the HUGE THANK YOU WORD CIRCLE.....There was one catch to the challenge though...the FLAMINGO couldn't be all pink....so I thought this plaid Making Memories paper was perfect...

HOME SWEET HOME..........................

Have ya seen the new WELCOME HOME set over at the Cutting Cafe...it has 55 images....you can check it out here....totally fun set....Here is a little card I made using the new set....I decided to put a hole in the front of the card and place the little house in the inside...the HOME SWEET HOME background is another new file...you can find that here...And lastly is just a fun card for my BABE....I whipped it up and was planning on sneaking it into his work folder...WELL HE CAUGHT ME...and just stuck his hand out...he knows me so well..I love sending little love notes to him...placing them in his car or actually sending them to his job....he writes me a letter or two here and there...I keep one in my checkbook from like 4 or so years ago....I used the SCHOOL BORDERS on the card....Hugs

I THINK I WANT A PAIR OF THESE.....................

Okay I think I want a pair of these boots for the winter time...these BOOTS are from a new set over at the cutting cafe...called RAIN BOOTS SHAPED CARD SET....(see video below)The other day I got this new halloween paper by My Minds Eye....oh my the paper pack is totally fabulous...I just had to use the paper to make this shaped card....and the yummy ribbon is by Stampin Up......totally love it...you can order some from Lillie...this stuff is yummy.I also used my Irock for the rhinestones...I didn't have black, so I just first adhered the rhinestones and then used my black copic marker to color the stone..EASY AS PIE..

THE BEST TEACHERS TEACH.................

FROM THE HEART.....I am so happy that my son has Mrs. Bates/Hail for a teacher this year....I am one of those parents that love to spoil my kids teachers.....with handmade gifts through the year...after all, they are literally with my child more waking hours of the day them with me...(well kind of)...anyHOO....here is just a little quickie I whipped up for his teacher...I filled each box with paper clips, erasers, mini sticky note pads, etc. etc....no sewing on these projects..just plain oh using some fun elementary school colors with a fun alpha ribbon....the heart is a heart shaped card from the cutting cafe...the boxes is the NESTING BOXES...and the quote on the heart is from the ALL ABOUT SCHOOL set...well have a wonderful Thursday...hugs

BACK TO SCHOOL............................

ALREADY....It seems like the kids just got out of school..I thought I would share a few pictures of my kids....first up is the one that turned 18....................wow the big number...he is my silliest one out of all 4 of my kids...He's a Senior this year and although he drove half of the year to school last year with his brother, he will be driving his brother and sister this year...Lord help me...Next is my Freshmen daughter...I took this right before she left out this morning for school....she is my sweet writer...Next up is my Sophomore son...I also took this before he left out of the door for school...he is my quite, very hum what is the word...well I can't think of it right now...but I will say he is surely my child that will look up anything he doesn't know until he is fully proficient on the subject/thing....
and last but surely not least....my 4Th grader...mommas little boy, he is my sweet one that still wants to cuddle with mommy and spend quality time doing whatever .... as long as we are together...now as far as his siblings, well he likes to drive them crazy...naw just kidding they all tend to get along pretty well....and FINALLY just a little OH FUDGE card for a special birthday girl....the Popsicle is from a new set over at scrapnfonts called db summer treats...this set hasn't been released yet...in the inside of the card, I put something to the effect that OH FUDGE ...sorry this birthday card is so late...

ENJOY FISHES.....42ND BD..................

He he he ..funny title of my post....okay I got a few projects to share with you all today..
First up is another QCC project....titled happy birthday 42......see video at the very button of this post....I used the new NUMBER GRID BACKGROUND SET..I really love this set and hope to make a layout using this set....I also used the BIRTHDAY FUN set....Next are two cards for my Scrapnfonts DT.....

Isn't that little swing the cutest...I cut it out on white paper and then pattern paper for the swing seat...it is also raised on card...I then cut out the tree and grass with my pazzles machine...using the DB WOODSY SET from scrapnfonts...the SWING is from a new set called DB SUMMER...the little flowers are from a flower punch...and the little ENJOY sentiment is from a set called SNF SKIP AND PLAY....Then I decided to do a fish shaped card...isn't this fish the cutest....I know these are some funky colors for a fish...he he he....it is also from the DB SUMMER SET....I just converted it in my Pazzles and made a shaped card out of it...added a rhinestone for the eye and then made a matching envelope using the ASSORTED ENVELOPES TEMPLATES from the CUTTING CAFE...Well that's all..be sure to view the video below...have a great night...hugs

I SCREAM YOU SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM..

FOR ICE CREAM.....Hello everyone..I have always loved this cute little Ice Cream saying...

If your doing the monthly hop from the BBTB2, you should have arrived to me from the fabulous Theresa Kelly..and I am the last person on the hop...if ya just happen to stop by to see what I have been up to, please be sure to check out all the wonderful girls who are participating in the BBTB2 monthly hop...you can find the list of all of the girls participating at the end of my post...okay on to my project...One of the sweetest girls I know Krista Norman is our hostess this week over at the BBTB2..and she asked us ladies to use the ICE CREAM CONE from the STRETCH YOUR IMAGINATION cartridge..It has been months since I have participated in a weekly challenge..I teamed up my card with a few new releases from THE CUTTING CAFE...I used the new I SCREAM YOU SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM background stamp as well as the JOT IT DOWN (love this set) and ASSORTED SCALLOPS SET 1....the pattern paper is by Basic Grey and the rubons are from October afternoon...See those brown rhinestones on the ice cream...well I used my new IROCK for that...LOVE IT..and what I love more is that I only purchased the clear set and I used my dark brown copics to color them brown...YIPEEEEEEEEEE...Oh so fun....

QCC EPISODE 4...AND REMEMBER NOTE PAD

Hello everyone...today I want to first mention that I have uploaded another QCC (QUICK CAFE CREATION) on my youtube channel..and it was a super quick project...here is the project:
and the video is at the bottom of this post...see the video for all the details...but I did use these two sets from the Cafe site on the CUPCAKE CARD...

huge cupcake templateUp next is another quick project I made using the new LINE PAPER NOTE PAD SET...this was a really super fun project to make...that I will be keeping for myself..I used some fun old CRATE paper.....I decided to make a band to go around the project that can slip on and off as needed....I did my line paper in red...(the set comes with 5 different colors)..I made some kraft envelopes to match..2 small ones and 2 big ones ...fit nicely on the left hand side of the note pad folder...to keep the papers altogether on the right hand side...I first printed 10 pages...(they come 2 on a page)...then I cut out the 20 pages and stacked them on top of one another adding glue just at the top...after they were glued together..I just wrapped some matching card stock on the top and then added in the folder...EASY PEASY...and for $2.50 for the whole set, they would make awesome Christmas gifts.....on the cover, I did add a tag from the JOT IT DOWN SET...if you haven't see that set, you need to check it out...

YELLOW WITH SOME KRAFT PAPER..............

Two of my favorite combos...........today I wanted to share the last two QCC (quick cafe creations) projects with ya....both of these projects are super quick to do...no fuss.....just simple, but way fun to make and give....lately I have been into making a lot of simple, but fun stuff...all this RAK stuff is so contagious...I LOVE IT....see VIDEOS after each card....

LIFE SAVER BOX PROJECTS.......................

Hello everyone...gesssssssssssss seems like forever since I last posted a project...well I have two for ya....I am starting a new thing on youtube called QUICK CAFE CREATIONS...it will be projects that will be quick and fun to make using products from The Cutting Cafe...I will be using background music for these types of videos...I am still going to make other videos using my voice, but the QUICK CAFE CREATIONS will be just with background music...I will be doing one a week...haven't really decided if it will be on a certain day or not...anyHOO....here is the first QCC..SEE VIDEO BELOW...I used the LIFE SAVER BOX set for this project.....this Life Saver box can be used for so many different party favors...as you can see in this quick project (and yes it was quick)...
I only used the top lid of the Life Saver box....wrapped the life savers with some background papers from the cutting cafe, (stars background) (stripes background) (tiny solid dots)........
then added a tag from the 4th OF JULY SET 1...kind of looks like little FIRE CRACKERS...of course I can't take full credit for this project though...I first saw it about a year ago over at Cindy G's blog..I miss that girl..she is so darn talented..but is doing fine...spoke with her not to long ago...Up next is the full version of the LIFE SAVER BOX...see I told ya it could be used for lots of stuff...
