I AM TOTALLY EXCITED....CHRISTMAS DAILY.....

Okay I am totally excited that I was able to complete one of these AMAZING CHRISTMAS DAILY journaling books....WOW WOW WOW ....I did it in a day in a half....along with cooking, cleaning, being a taxi and more.... Last week I had released a huge set called CHRISTMAS DAILY...the idea for me to design this awesome set came from Carol Sheetz.......What an awesome idea she had...She also referred me to the one that Ali Edwards did this year and the rest was HISTORY....I decided to use the same concept as Ali.....basically her concept was not worry about decorating the book with a bunch of bells and whistles ....(embellishments...smile)....but more focusing on truly living each day from Dec. 1-25 and jotting things along the way....so that is what I did...I just put very little on each page and plan to sit the book in the kitchen along with a pen and a camera....each day any of the 6 of us in the house can jot down their thoughts, take a photo and decorate the page....I AM TOTALLY JUICED about this book....I used all kinds of scraps that I had left over from cards, stickers and more....One awesome thing that I just designed over at the Cutting Cafe that really came in handy with this book is a new LINE SET OF BACKGROUNDS STAMPS...this set was perfect for the book...as you will see in all of the pages there is some type of journaling tag/card for whoever does a page to write on....these were all made using this new set....you can view the set here....
Okay here are a few pages from my CHRISTMAS DAILY BOOK....ps: after the pictures I have a special for you all...........
here is the cover...I took two pieces of chipboard and covered the fronts and backs of them.

view of all of the pages inside
that number 1 is from the CHRISTMAS DAILY SET
that red circle was made using the LINES BACKGROUND SET
another tag I made using the LINES SET...this page is also in half.
hopefully on this page, I won't be the one journaling...my handwriting is HORRIBLE. this journaling sheet was also made using the NEW LINES BACKGROUND STAMP.
another half page, you can see page 10 behind it.
this is just a bulb in a page protector all by itself...just cut the page protector in half and stapled the sides...see I told ya really quick...BUT OH SO FUN...journaling will just go on the top of the bulb....that other journaling tag behind it goes with page 12.
so do any of you LOVE KRAFT paper as much as me....LOVE THIS STUFF
hopefully I will be putting a HUGE picture of my little one...wanting to open up a present 2 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS...
This particular page, I didn't glue anything down besides the number 25 and the tree under it...just dropped the black photo corners and tag inside....NOT SURE WHAT WILL BE GOING ON THIS DAY.....so that's all folks...BASIC AS CAN BE...JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT....

Okay as some of you may know, I had originally offered this set for free as a way of thanking my awesome customers over at the CUTTING CAFE......there were over a thousand people that downloaded the file...TOTALLY AWESOME....well just in case a few of you didn't get a chance to download the file, I am going to put the download back up through midnight of Thanksgiving..............

WINE ANYONE......

No I am not really a wine drinker....maybe an occasional drink here and there.....anyHOO, here is just a fun project using one of the new templates over at The Cutting Cafe...A WINE SHAPED CARD with a few fun sentiments in the set....I thought this could be fun to maybe put on a box of wine for the holidays or as I used it for the new upcoming year...I might just wrap a piece of fun BO BUNNY paper around some sparkling apple cider and give it to a friend or relative along with this card...the paper is from BO BUNNY....love this flora paper...just in case you can't see the writing on the side, it reads: I COOK WITH WINE. SOMETIMES I EVEN ADD IT TO THE FOOD....he he he...ANYHOO, you can find this set here along with 2 other 2010 background sets...hugs

HOLIDAY PLANNER AND A POST IT NOTE BOX

Well I have finally decided to make something for me and my daughter..Most of the time all of the projects I make are for other people..........
First up is this cute little CHRISTMAS PLANNER...I was between putting hook rings on the sides or ribbon on the sides...but ended up doing heavy jute...and I love it...I used some really old Chatterbox paper for this book...This book comes for the new NOTEBOOK COVER over at the CUTTING CAFE...and the inside Christmas planner sheets come from the HOLIDAY PLANNER set over at the CUTTING CAFE...(by the way, when you purchase this HOLIDAY PLANNER, you get the NOTEBOOK COVER for free...until 11/14/09...
The NOTEBOOK COVER also comes with a piece to make a pocket for receipts....

QUESTION for you all, when you are making your own books, tell me what do you use to get the holes in all of the paper....I used my cropadile, but since the book has like folded edges, I really couldn't get a smooth hole punch...any suggestions....I had to take a few papers out and then punch them...if it was at the top, it would have been easier because I wouldn't have been going over a fold like on the side...YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN..(SMILE)Next up is a POST IT NOTE BOX that I made for my daughters new PINK/BLACK and LAVENDER room....I went all out with the rhinestones on the edges of the lid...I totally love this new template from The Cutting Cafe...I mean the possibilities are endless with this set...I might just make some Christmas POST IT NOTE sets later and give to some friends of mine..

JINGLE BELLS, PENGUINS........

Happy Monday evening everyone.....this week the fabulous Carla Peicheff issued the challenge cut for the BBTB....The cut we had to use is the PENGUIN from THE JOYS OF THE SEASON...I love this little girl....I added her to some old but fun Basic Grey paper and then added one of the Christmas stamps to the side from the Cutting Cafe called CHRISTMAS LONG PHRASES...it states LET IT SNOW...Be sure to check out the other ladies projects here...awesome stuff...Next up is two cards from a new set over at THE CUTTING CAFE....I am loving this BELL SHAPED CARD...didn't add a bunch of bells and whistles to this card..it's for my hubby......when I had designed the bell shaped card...I only had CHRISTMAS on the brain, but then I thought, wait a minute this bell can work for ANNIVERSARIES AND WEDDINGS...I got a bit carried away on the flower swirl on the card and couldn't take it off..oh well....I also added some liquid pearl to the rubon flower...probably can't see that....the CONGRATULATIONS on your WEDDING is from the HUGE WEDDING SET over at THE CUTTING CAFE and the A SPECIAL WISH FOR A SWEET COUPLE is from the HUGE ANNIVERSARY set...Have a great night..
