Well I just got my issue of CRAFT N THINGS today and normally when I have the privilege of being published in a magazine, I don't mention it on my blog...........BUT....today was a bit special to me...as most of you know, I am the owner of The Cutting Cafe and to my surprise, I already knew I was to have 3 items published in the magazine for April 2010, but I didn't know that the editor was going to say a few words about The Cutting Cafe along with this project:This project used the ASSORTED PILLOW BOX, HAPPY EASTER BACKGROUND and EASTER SENTIMENTS SET......wow this is a first for The Cutting Cafe...thank you so much Dawn......
If you have never purchased a copy of Craft n things, you really need to pick up a copy the next time your at a craft store...their book is full of amazing projects from cards to sewing to jewelry and so much more...

Okay up next, I decided to do a few challenges today...Moxie Fab World just issued their TUESDAY TRIGGER and I so loved the sample card...that Kimberly Crawford is something else I tell ya...this card is based upon her amazing sample here....I decided to use one of the sentiments from the BIG STUFF SENTIMENTS SET from the Cutting Cafe...I reduced my image a bit to fit on the bottom of the card, but one thing that I do love about this stamp set is that the images are big...great for making a huge statement on a card or other project...Of course I had to also use some more of the scallops from the ASSORTED SCALLOP SET.....all lined up with loads of Kaiser scrapbook rhinestones...Next up is a fun card based upon Audrey's fabulous card here...from 365 CARDS....goodness, I can't get enough of those talented ladies over there...be sure to check them out DAILY...for this card I used one of the new Easter sets from the Cutting Cafe called Easter set 2 and again I used the ASSORTED SCALLOP set from the Cutting Cafe...you might not be able to tell, but I doodled a bunch of pink dots on some of the eggs and on the scallop border using some of that yummy Liquid Pearl stuff...and see that crochet flower...well that is from PAPER BLOOMS...I am so in need of more crochet flowers...Well that is it for me....gotta run and go watch American Idol.....have a great night and a wonderful Wednesday...hugs

God is good....God is GREAT.......(SMILE)....in keeping with some Easter projects...here is another little project I did last night...This card uses two NEW additions to the CUTTING CAFE LINE...
EASTER FRAMES
and
EASTER SET 2The awesome thing about the EASTER FRAMES is that the frames come in the most popular card sizes...there are 3 different frames in 12 different sizes...each frame comes in:
4 by 6
6 by 6
A2 (quarter fold size)
5 by 5...
on this card I used the quarter fold size.....the CROSS is from the EASTER SET 2....I used some yummy Making Memories paper for this card topped off with some FABULOUS ribbon that I got from my new online etsy shop CARDBLANC...love that girls ribbon...well that's all for now...have a wonderful Monday...

AWWWWWW......TIME FOR EASTER

Hum when is Easter....gotta check that out on the calendar...well have ya been to the Cutting Cafe lately....there are a few Easter sets that I just recently released....to be exact 3.....

First up is the EASTER BASKET SHAPED CARD....I can't believe I actually weaved the strips in and out on this project...I think it made the basket REALLY look like a basket...this was a super fun shaped card to match and it even comes with a matching sized envelope.Next up these projects use the EASTER BASKET TEMPLATES....there are 2 different templates in the set...one for 1 egg and one for 4 eggs...I have NEVER in the past given any of my kids teachers a Easter gift...........so this year with the Easter Baskets, I am going to do just that...BEFORE the Easter break....Here is what the basket with 4 eggs looks like:I also used another new set on this basket...the FLOWER BORDERS......I cut up a bunch of matching paper to make the little grass...and the 1 egg holder....I also used the ASSORTED SCALLOP set on this little box..I love the SCALLOP SET...

Hello everyone...just popping in to share a few more Valentine projects...These two projects were SUPER EASY....hum just the way I like it...I used two of the new sets from the Cutting Cafe called:

ALL OCCASION TAG SET
both of these sets work well with the STAMPIN UP LARGE TAG PUNCH...

Up first is another gift for Ben's teacher..I found these cute mugs from Michael's...just filled them with candy and added a tag...one great thing about this new tag set is that the set also comes with a folded shaped tag...perfect for writing a little message in...And lastly is a little box (CUPCAKE BOX) filled with CHERRY SOURS...my hubby loves these...I also used another tag....this one was from the ALL OCCASION TAG set...this striped, Making Memories was just perfect for the box...Well that is it, I still have to cover 2 more conversation candy boxes for my other two boys and they I will be done with my Valentine stuff....Have a great night and a wonderful Thursday...HUGS

Here are two little cards I whipped up tonight using both of the new sets....
The first card uses the COLORED MINI POLK A DOT BACKGROUNDS...did I tell ya that all of the colored images in both of these sets go well with the Stampin Up cardstock...YULP they do...

I also used the ST. PATRICKS DAY SET on this card...and that ribbon is from a new ESTY shop that I am loving called CARDBLANC....I keep checking for more fun ribbon to be added...You gotta check out her shop here...

Next up is just a fun brown and red card...I used both of the new sets on this card along with the EVERYDAY GREETINGS SET 1....
I first printed out the POLK A DOTS on red stampin up paper in brown and then in red...the flower has the brown on it and the background has the red on it..I love the tone on tone with the dots matching the paper and ink....I topped these flowers off with some buttons and then added some pearl stickles...see the SCALLOP around the card....well that is from the new SCALLOP set over at the CUTTING CAFE...I can't get enough of that set....Well thanks for visiting me and don't forget to click on the links above to get your free sets...it is only free until midnight of the 8th...(Monday)...Have a great night and a wonderful Saturday...HUGS

ANOTHER TEACHER GIFT & SOME MORE SWEETNESS..CPS 49

I had a bunch of the red foil left over from yesterdays post so I decided to make a simple card based on CPS 49 SKETCH...goodness those ladies over there ROCK......anyhoo, I used some fun SIMPLE LUXE paper for this card and used the SWEET BACKGROUND STAMP and ASSORTED SCALLOP set from the CUTTING CAFE...Up next is another PENCIL BOX..(FROM THE CUTTING CAFE)...I picked up some Valentine pencils from Target the other day and thought I would have Benjamin take these to his teacher BEFORE Valentines day...she might want to hand out to the students...The little circle tag FOR MY TEACHER is from a set called VALENTINE FAMILY AND FRIENDS SET...I hope she likes the little box..the scallops on the box are also from the ASSORTED SCALLOP SET...love this set..

SWEET VALENTINE GIFT SET......& 365 CARD CHALLENGE

This SWEET VALENTINE set is for my daughter Ebony..I am trying to finish up some Valentine gifts for my kids BEFORE the holiday creeps up on me...I used the new 365 card challenge for the base of my card along with some new CUTTING CAFE SETS.....I just released a set of 15 assorted scallops over at the Cutting Cafe...I am sure I will be using this set for probably just about all of my cards...I love scallops and these templates are fun....make sure to visit the site and see of the scallops........For the box I used the SQUARE BOX WITH DIVIDER along with another scallop from the set....from the CUTTING CAFE....The sentiment on the circle tag is from the ALL ABOUT VALENTINES DAY set....
so whats in the box....while I found these cute .99 cent socks at Target....aren't they fun...then I wrapped them in tissue and added a heart.
Next up is the card....this is based on the 365 challenge here...boy oh boy these ladies rock out some fabulous cards each and every day...the background stamp SWEET is also from THE CUTTING CAFE....you might not be able to tell from the picture, but the red hearts are actually made of foil and a very pretty color at that...I think the glare of the foil is what makes the hearts look dark....I am loving this foil paper...it came in the Martha Stewart Valentines Day paper stack...as a matter of fact all of the paper from these 3 projects are from the same Paper stack...

And finally is another CONVERSATION CANDY BOX FROM THE CUTTING CAFE...the red foil hole scallop at the top is included in the 15 assorted scallop templates over at the CUTTING CAFE....Well that's it...thanks for visiting me and have a great evening and great Tuesday...HUGS
