HAPPY BIRTHDAY EBONY....BBTB CHALLENGE

Well my daughters 13 birthday is next month, so I decided to do my bbtb project using the present from the POOH AND FRIENDS cartridge, which is the challenge cut for this week...........BUT GUESS WHAT I DID...............I GOOFED...I don't know what I was thinking, but the top part should have had black on it as well or at least the peachy color...........I thought about re-doing it or trying to get the black ribbon part off, but it was stuck like mad on it....SO........I DECIDED TO JUST LEAVE IT....I really don't think my daughter will mind....that's the beauty sometimes in giving out handmade things...us craftor will go crazy if it isn't JUST RIGHT, while the receiver will think it is the BEST CARD ever...so hopefully my daughter will love it.......It will be a card given to her from her daddy....See that cute little button..it reads DADDY'S GIRL...the tiny HAPPY BIRTHDAY font is a background stamp from the CUTTING CAFE...and the butterfly is a cuttlebug die.....I topped the card off with a few rhinestones...just the perfect bling for my soon to be 13 year old...YIKESSSSSSSSSSS...
On another note, did you know that the CUTTING CAFE sells customs HANDMADE JUST FOR YOU labels for the back of your HANDMADE cards....yes I know most of you probably have a stamp that you got made just for you, which I happen to have one myself, but when I go to stamp on the back of the card that I is made from BAZZILL paper, I always mess up the image..............so these labels are just perfect....and since I owned a XYRON machine, after I printed off a sheet of custom labels I ran the sheet through the XYRON machine....punched out the circles and put them to the side...now they are ready to instantly apply when needed...of course if you don't have a XYRON machine, you can just apply two way type or glue and the adhere to the back of YOUR HANDMADE CARD ...either way, you will get a PERFECT label...
click here for details...they also make perfect gifts, order some for someone else and then package them up all pretty in a cello bag or box.......

Magnolia Halloween box...... And A little bit of Christmas

My sweet and awesome craftor friend Sharon Caudle had sent me some Magnolia's to color and I couldn't resist coloring in this Halloween image...isn't this Magnolia stamp the cutest ever...AnyHoo, since I bought so much of the new American Crafts Halloween paper, I just had to dress her up in colors to match the paper....The box comes from the Cutting Cafe...it is the long window box..perfect size to put some black licorice in....then I used the spider from the HALLOWEEN THIS AND THAT set on the front...I also added some pretty purple glitter to the Magnolia's hat and boots....

No I haven't left creating for Halloween, I just needed to do a quick project so I decided to release a quick HAPPY HOLIDAYS background stamp for the Cutting Cafe...The awesome HOLIDAY JUMBLE in the middle is from a set called DB RETRO NOEL...(from scrapnfonts.com) and the yummy pattern paper with the hat is from the new line of Christmas paper by Cosmo Cricket..yummy yummy stuff I tell ya

b is for BIRTHDAY....365 CHALLENGE AND 2 SKETCHES 4 YOU

Well hubby's birthday is next week and I am trying to get a jump start on things....So I headed on over to 2 sketches 4 you for some inspiration and of course I found it...this card is based on this weeks challenge....AND....since the CUTTING CAFE just released another LETTER SHAPED CARD...the letter b.....(eventually the Cafe site will have all 26 of the letters in a set and the number 0-9)....I thought I would play along again over at 365....they had a monogram challenge going on, on Monday...I also decided to use the PARTY HAT template from the Cafe site....The inside of the card uses the HAPPY BIRTHDAY background stamp...love that font on that printable stamp....so what do you think...do you think the card and hat are MANLY enough....I so wanted to add some bling to the card and hat, but if I would have done that, I would then want to sew on it and ....boowhoo...................it wouldn't have looked so manly anymore...So I left it as is...

SO HOOS BIRTHDAY IS IT................

WELL IT WAS MINE...LAST FRIDAY......I must say it was a draining day...at first hubby and I were going to go to the California State fair; just the two of us and act like a bunch of KIDS....(smile)...but NO.........I said to myself it was my birthday and I should spend it with the whole family...(like I don't do that already)...so we took the whole GROUP....and oh my it was more like a birthday for them...we just watched as they rode their little hearts out...GOTTA LOVE HAVING KIDS....I would like to thank all of you that left me birthday wishes and sent me cards and goodies...thank you so much....I love you all and it is such a blessing to have friends from ALL OVER THE WORLD...how lucky can a girl get....One day I hope to meet you all...(smile)...
Question for you all, do you have one of those husbands that take the time to pick out just the right card for every occasion? Well my hubby is one of those types of guys...I mean the cards he buys me are just so heartfelt....and this birthday was no exception......besides he wrote me a little letter on the extra pages that were in the middle of the card...oh my it is a keeper for sure and another thing he did that actually was the best present of all is that right before him and the kids were going to sing me happy birthday...he told the kids to let him start if off first...and oh my he song to me in the most romantic voice....I wanted to just melt in his arms...you see my hubby is also a minster and he has that home town baptist church voice...if ya know what I mean...oooooooooooo la la...ANYHOOOOOOOOOOO.....enough of me.....

The new challenge is up over at the BBTB and the challenge was to use the OWL cut from the WILD CARD cartridge...I decided to use some old BAMPOP paper on my project...I also used the HAPPY BIRTHDAY BACKGROUND stamp from the Cutting Cafe.....you can check out the other ladies masterpieces here....

TEACHER GIFT.....

Well I finally finished up a quick little back to school teacher gift...I was waiting to see what the teacher needed before going out and just buying whatever I wanted...I already showed you all the PENCIL BOX that I decorated full of pencils...next I needed to wrap up some very colorful paper and just decided to wrap it in kraft paper and add some of the paper from the pencil box on the front of the kraft paper....then I found this adorable apple from scrapnfonts and cut it out using my Gazelle cutter....way cute.......added a new .99 cent special JUST A LITTLE SOMETHING FROM ME TO YOU circle stamp from the cutting cafe....I also made a card that I showed a few days ago..(had my little Ben sign the inside) and popped a gift card in it...decorated the outside of the envelope with the same PENCIL BOX paper....and added the same circle stamp....ALL DONE NOW....I sure hope she likes it....

This is the decorated envelope.
